Easy Collagen Truffles

Tonic Products By Tonic Products

Sometimes, even if you’re on your best nutrition behavior, you really need something rich and chocolaty to take the edge off of a rough day… or just because. I know I can’t be the only one who craves chocolate but doesn’t want to keep store-bought, overly-sugared candy bars in the house. If you’re looking for a rich treat that you don’t have to feel guilty about, look no further than these chocolate collagen truffles.

If the word “truffle” conjures up an image of elaborate confections in a high-end candy store, you can relax. These truffles require four ingredients and zero complicated cooking skills. You don’t even have to turn on your stove to make these decadent treats. You do have to devote a little bit of time to this project but, trust us, these are worth it.

Another up-side to these truffles is the fact that they contain Traditional Tonic Nourishing Collagen. When you grab one out of the fridge on your way through the kitchen, you can think of it as devoting a little time to your skin, hair, and nails, which Traditional Tonic will help to make strong and beautiful. Rich chocolate, low calories, and more beautiful skin? Seriously, people, these are a dream.

Makes: approx. 1 dozen truffles

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cup chocolate finely chopped (at least 72%)

7 Tbsp. coconut milk, shaken

2 scoops Traditional Tonic Nourishing Collagen

Cocoa powder for coating

Directions:

  1. Place chocolate in a medium mixing bowl
  2. In another bowl, microwave the coconut milk until hot
  3. Stir the Traditional Tonic into the coconut milk and, while still hot, pour this over the chocolate in the other bowl. Cover immediately with a lid
  4. Let sit for 5 minutes to melt the chocolate and then whisk the mixture together until completely smooth and creamy
  5. Chill the mixture for 3 hours or until almost solid and chocolate does not stick to a fork when inserted
  6. Use a tablespoon to scoop out mixture and roll to form balls
  7. Quickly roll the balls in a dish of cocoa powder to coat them and set them on parchment paper
  8. Store them in the fridge so they do not melt
